Take up of the federal government's new coronavirus contact tracing application continues to exceed official expectations, with nearly 2.5 million Australians already signed up.
Health Minister Greg Hunt said as of 12.30pm AEST on Tuesday, more than 2.44 million people had downloaded the COVIDSafe app — only launched on Sunday night.
