No net zero emissions target if it hurts jobs: PM
Scott Morrison has ruled out committing to a target of net zero emissions by 2050 if it comes at the expense of jobs and higher power prices, as states urge him to adopt the long-term goal to end Australia's damaging climate-change wars.
The Prime Minister confirmed that a review into the long-term trajectory of Australia's emissions reductions would be conducted this year, after he delivered a stunning rebuke to NSW Environment Minister Matt Kean, a fellow Liberal, over his comments on the pace of climate change action.
