Westpac review will examine board's role in governance failure

Westpac's accountability review will have to determine whether the bank's board of directors did enough to avoid the failures in its risk governance, after the bank took 18 months to act on a request from AUSTRAC to improve the monitoring of paedophiles sending funds to south-east Asia.
