Senex races towards start-up of gas sales at Atlas

Oil and gas producer Senex Energy is on track to start contracted gas deliveries to customers on January 1 from the first project in Queensland where output is exclusively for domestic use, after what managing director Ian Davies described as an "unprecedented" pace of development.

Production started at Project Atlas less than 18 months after the petroleum licence was granted, although gas is currently being flared ahead of the start-up of a gas treatment plant next month by pipeline owner Jemena, Mr Davies said.
