Why Google wasn't really the first to achieve 'quantum supremacy'

Google may not have been the first to build a quantum computer that is capable of making calculations that can't be done by a regular computer, despite its recent claims.

One of the world's leading quantum computing physicists, University of Maryland Professor Chris Monroe, jokes that he may have achieved the same "quantum supremacy" feat, almost accidentally, two years ago.
