New York | Beyond Meat has piled on the market value, serving up the year's best first day for a US initial public offering.
The maker of vegan beef and sausage substitutes soared, rising as much as 192 per cent from its IPO price of $US25 ($35.70) a share. The shares, which opened at $US46, closed their first day of trading on Thursday up 163 per cent to $US65.75 in New York, giving the company a market value of about $US3.8 billion.
