Lockdown threat won’t subside for months

COVID-19 vaccinations have been completed in all Australia’s aged care facilities and nearly 8.5 per cent of eligible adults have had two jabs, signs that the slower than expected rollout is gaining pace.
Data from the federal government showed the rollout was on track to pass 8 million doses by the weekend, as more than 30 per cent of eligible Australians over 16 have had at least one dose.
