Zimmermann's 'slow hard burn' pays off in Capri

As Europe sizzles through a summer heatwave, Australia's leading resortwear sisters, Nicky and Simone Zimmermann, have touched down in Capri to open their second store in Europe since they unveiled a boutique in St Tropez less than 12 months ago – next door to Dior on sassy Rue François Sibill.

Such haute couture real estate is not bad going for the sisters, who celebrate three decades this year since Nicky began making 1980s clubbing outfits for friends in their parents' garage in Sydney's Sylvania Waters.
