Drinking Veuve Clicquot with cruise executive Sarina Bratton on a Friday afternoon on Sydney’s northern beaches is dangerous.
“Don’t worry, you had a long way to come,” Bratton reassures me as I rush into Justin Hemmes’ Bert’s Bar & Brasserie in the Newport Arms complex, apologising for my lateness. “I live just across the bay – over there [in Bayview],” she says, pointing at a hillside of impressive glass-fronted homes.
