Don’t get me wrong: I’m duly impressed by the hand-chiselled mosaics and colourful frescoes adorning the walls – from images of the Three Graces in the living room, to those indicating how to use dumbbells in the exercise room.
But what’s really blowing my mind isn’t the intricate workmanship in this beautifully reimagined Roman villa, nor the fact that dumbbells existed in Roman times (who knew?).
