Cruising often means flights to and from ports in Europe. On a recent business trip, Pointy End tested the business-class product from Emirates on the way over, then tried Star Alliance members Swiss and Singapore Airlines for the return journey.
None of the flights were on the carriers' newest flagships. The best Emirates product is the A380, while Swiss and Singapore Airlines both have latest-generation seats on Boeing 777-300ERs. As demand was high heading into the northern summer, ST flew on what was available.
