Reports of domestic murder underscore fears about society’s most fundamental institutions: home, family and community.
In March this year, a Utah woman named Kouri Richins published a children’s book titled Are You With Me?, which she characterised as an effort to help her three young sons process the loss of their father, who had died suddenly the previous year. Presenting herself as a concerned mother and grieving widow, she was interviewed on Good Things Utah a month later.
On May 8, Richins was arrested and charged with killing her husband, Eric.
