Warning bells are ringing for Australian men between 25 and 49, as they face the biggest risk of high blood pressure contributing to stroke-related deaths in the country.
A new study unexpectedly revealed their risk exceeds 60 per cent and is increasing steeply, raising concerns that they may be falling through the cracks. In the general population the risk is 40 to 45 per cent.
