Nearly losing control while racing on Phillip Island hasn't put the brakes on Broadband Solutions' Sam Bashiry's love of cars. He answers our Time Out Q&A.

Sam Bashiry is founder and director of Broadband Solutions in Australia and New Zealand.
When did you start car racing and why? I started collecting cars three years ago and from there joined a network of enthusiasts as passionate about cars (particularly Ferraris) as I am. Given their incredible performance and capabilities, it was a natural progression to try them out on the track. The resulting adrenalin rush has kept me participating in and hosting track days for the past two years. I’m very passionate about cars and I love meeting people with similar interests. There is a strong sense of community among the people I meet. It’s a great feeling to have in this digital age, where most communication is online.
