‘My so‑called perfect life started to run off the rails’
So BDO Brisbane managing partner Steven Sorbello made some changes, including non-negotiable daily exercise. He answers our Time Out Q&A.

When did you take up triathlons and why?
Exercise became a non-negotiable part of my daily routine in 2010 (at 35 years of age) when my so‑called “perfect life” started to run off the rails. Daily exercise was my time to enforce a routine, manage anxiety and deal with a few obstacles that had surfaced. Encouraged by my youngest brother, Matt, I started participating in events in 2014, swimming in the Cairns Half-Ironman event in a team of good friends. We had a lot of fun.
