Grant Orchard is field chief technology officer for Asia-Pacific and Japan at HashiCorp, a software infrastructure company specialising in cloud computing. He lives in Kurrajong in NSW.

How long have you been making cheese and how did you get started?
For about four years – I remember my wife forwarding me an article about making “bush halloumi” and how intrigued I was about the whole process. I made something that resembled the cheese in the guide and decided I wanted to learn more. The following week, I searched online for supplies and borrowed as many library books on cheese making as I could find – the rest is history.
