Forget champagne. Forget rosé. It’s time to move beyond the Valentine’s Day wine clichés and be a little less predictable. After all, nothing says, “I adore you” more than giving your beloved a bottle that they actually want to drink, rather than one that perpetuates some outdated idea of what romance should be.
Don’t get me wrong, I love great fizz and fine rosé as much as the next wine tragic, but I like them at all times of year, not just on February 14. Plenty of others can be just as romantic. Wines that seduce you with texture and richness; wines that, through their depth and complexity, inspire conversation and emotional response; wines with a backstory that speak to human connection.
