Guive Balooch is showing me the future of beauty: a thin elastic bracelet with a chic, blue-and-white disc charm, about a centimetre wide. Within the charm is a UV detector that will measure my exposure to the sun and tell me when to apply sunscreen, via an app.
“It’s so subtle,” I tell him. “Yes,” he says. “It’s a wearable. So to that end, it has to be, you know, wearable.”
