Fashion Week might be over, but Australian designers have a new show
Jenny Nakkan was days away from announcing a commercial partnership with Australian Fashion Week when its funding was pulled by New York-based IMG in November.
Ms Nakkan, a veteran of the local fashion industry, thought about cancelling her plans – but decided that what Australian designers needed now was exactly what she was offering: a local trade show attended by international department store buyers to boost sales and brand awareness globally.
