The whole soiree is actually a month, taking in four big events in New York, London, Milan and Paris. Here’s a rundown of what’s been happening on the runways.
Like Christmas, Fashion Week seems to roll around quicker with each passing year. While there was a time during the pandemic when designers called for a slowing of the calendar with fewer releases (and therefore fewer in-person events), that sentiment has all but disappeared. Fashion week is bigger than ever, with more brands clamouring for attention, whether they are showing or not. As fashion editor, I’m often asked about the week itself – who attends, what it’s all for, what it’s like to be there. Here’s what I tell people.
