When Zimmerman contacted Robert Lockyer four years ago to ask if his company would supply its packaging, he had no idea who was calling. “I had to look them up,” he says of the fashion powerhouse founded by Australian sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann in 1991.

How things change. Despite having to wear a moon boot after tearing a ligament in his ankle in the cobblestone laneways of Sydney’s The Rocks, the genial founder and chief customer officer of the UK-based sustainable luxury packaging company Delta Global was a fixture at Australian Fashion Week last month. He even braved stairs at Carriageworks in the hammering rain to get to shows, greeting designers and insiders by name.
