William Smart and Blainey North are the architectural sculptors of a very Australian design aesthetic.

He creates buildings of a concrete poetry, like the multi-award winning billionaire philanthropist Judith Neilson’s Sydney home, Indigo Slam. Its fabulous rolling barrels and vaults express themselves volubly to the street, giving a private home a very civic-minded presence.
