Drive to Survive, possibly the most successful and lucrative sporting documentary series ever, starts its fourth season on Netflix tomorrow, March 11, exactly one week before the first F1 race of 2022.

Netflix does not release ratings figures for any of its shows. However, anecdotally Drive to Survive has drawn in vast audiences and greatly broadened F1’s appeal. The fans have become younger, with a higher female skew, and for the first time, Americans are seriously buying into this traditionally European sport.
