A big electric SUV with sporty intent
The Lotus Eletre is mechanically similar to the Emeya sedan and shares many interior parts and much of the tech.
What is it? The Lotus Eletre is a big electric SUV designed by Lotus in England but built in Wuhan, China. Eletre is in keeping with the long tradition of Lotus names that start with E, though this one looks like a typo. It is apparently from the Hungarian word életre, which means “coming to life”.
What does it cost? The standard version is $189,900. The S variant (as driven here) is $229,990, while the high-performance R is $279,990. In all cases, plus on road costs.
