One of Australia’s largest music festivals, Splendour in the Grass, will not return in 2025 despite signs of recovery elsewhere in the music festival business.
In a social media post on Thursday, the Secret Sounds Group – which is 79.4 per cent owned by multinational Live Nation – said the 24-year-old festival, which traditionally takes place in Byron Bay in July and attracted a record 42,500 attendees in 2019, needed “more time to recharge”.
