When Correne Wilkie asked her bank for a loan to build a sex museum in Melbourne, she received a “no” that definitely meant “no”.

“The feedback from the finance people was that there was nothing already on their books to model a loan from,” says Wilkie, who in December co-founded The Museum Of Desire in Collingwood after 22 years of managing jazz-funk band The Cat Empire.
