Richard Roxburgh and writer-director Peter Duncan go way back, at least on screen, to the forgotten yet bonkers star-studded satire of 1996, Children of the Revolution.
They’re best known as co-creators of the loved TV drama Rake, a rollicking series of comic chaos and sly observation. Which is to say they’re not the obvious choices to star in and adapt a journalist’s memoir about being trapped in an Egyptian prison on bogus charges. Will we get Midnight Express or Carry on Cairo?
