One of Australia’s biggest philanthropists, Judith Neilson, is responding to US President Donald Trump’s gutting of foreign aid by boosting funds to Africa, including public health programs.
As global not-for-profits scramble to recover after the US axed more than 80 per cent of its USAID programs, The Judith Neilson Foundation has allocated an extra $10 million next financial year to fund projects on the continent, adding to the $15 million that was already set aside.
