‘I was levitating’: Why Brett Clegg paid for Sydney Dance Company work
The public relations mogul’s love affair with dance began when he sent an unsolicited novella to a British electro musician back in 2011.
Brett Clegg might have funded the newest work by the Sydney Dance Company, but the artistic input from the multimillionaire communications mogul ended there.
“There is no Billy Elliott backstory when it comes to my relationship with Sydney Dance,” says Clegg, who has bankrolled Love Lock, by Javanese-Australian choreographer Melanie Lane, which premieres at Roslyn Packer Theatre on September 18.
