Paul Kelly’s How To Make Gravy has long been the song his fans ask him about the most – and thanks to a new movie based on the beloved Christmas tune, he has a few more answers for them.

Beyond giving his blessing, Kelly wasn’t involved in the film adaptation of How To Make Gravy, to be released on streaming service Binge on December 1. So when he read a synopsis of the screenplay by singer Megan Washington and husband Nick Waterman, he was surprised that names he wrote only to “fill out the syllables” of the song’s melody had become fully realised characters.
