Abhishek Bachchan might be a Bollywood superstar, but the actor is also the godfather of a sport that occupies the same place in Indian society as Australian rules football does in Australia.
The 46-year-old star, known for his famous theatrical family and glamorous wife, has developed a sideline investing in sports such as football. But when he decided to market a sport that was little known outside of India, he took inspiration from Aussie rules, a sport he’d grown up watching when he was at school in Europe.
