Big New York Indigenous art sale fizzles

In the month when New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art will unveil a gleaming new home for its Aboriginal Australian art collection in the Michael C. Rockefeller Wing, a tearaway auction of Indigenous art in the same city would have felt fitting and celebratory.

Alas, it was not to be.
