Adelaide’s crowded March calendar of artistic festivals have negotiated the cost-of-living crisis with record or near-record box office returns.

After wrapping up on Sunday, the Adelaide Festival recorded a total box office of $5,952,135 since opening on March 3, a fraction under its record of $5,989,183 set in 2019.
