ACO Underground’s next gig is in a more salubrious venue than the sticky-carpet pubs and adult cinemas they’ve played in the past, but founder Satu Vänskä promises the musical adventure will be just as wild.

The principal violinist of the Australian Chamber Orchestra started ACO Underground 10 years ago as a “creative outlet” for the ensemble, blending amplification, contemporary material and guest rock musicians with the classics, and seeking new audiences away from concert halls.
