Before this week, I would have said a definitive “no.” But the action star, former Mr Universe and latter-day governor of California proves a fascinating subject in Netflix’s Arnold, a tie-in to the Austrian native’s new role as the streaming service’s “chief action officer.”

Indeed, his improbably rise from the small town of Thal (population as of 2023: 2200) to bankable Hollywood actor and then – by many estimations – highly successful politician is nothing less than the American dream personified.
