Trucking giant forewarned of collapse last year

Directors of the collapsed chilled-goods trucking outfit Scott’s Refrigerated Logistics feared the possibility of going broke last year after problems ranging from an IT upgrade to COVID-19 and floods hurt the transport business.

The concerns were outlined in accounts for Anchorage Capital Partners-owned Scott’s, which delivers goods such as ice cream and meat to supermarket chains Woolworths, Coles and Aldi. The transport outfit called in administrators from McGrathNicol on Monday.
