The boss of the new Western Sydney airport wants lucrative flights currently allowed to land at Sydney Airport before its curfew to be transferred to the new 24-hour hub, despite concerns they will cause noise for residents.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese officially opened the Western Sydney International terminal on Wednesday, where chief executive Simon Hickey said freight flights into the 24-hour airport will be crucial to its business.
