Rugby fans urged to look for innovative travel paths to Sydney match

Airlines look set to be the big winners out of the British and Irish Lions’ historic tour of Australia, with some travellers paying more to fly domestically to the match in Sydney than they would to go via Bali.

Huge crowds of foreign tourists have descended Down Under for the historic rugby union series, which includes more than 15,000 flight movements and 80,000 hotel beds for the players, coaches and fans on the official tour.
