A top Qantas executive concedes there could be more job cuts at the carrier, beyond the already declared 8500 redundancies.

Andrew David – the boss of both the Qantas international and domestic businesses – could not rule out a further round of cuts given the uncertainty the aviation sector faced as borders remained shut and stimulus dried up.
