Labor pulls Airservices into line on Brisbane Airport noise

Transport Minister Catherine King has expedited changes at Brisbane Airport that will reduce noise for nearby residents, who have been set to vent their frustrations over the growing number of planes flying overhead when Queenslanders head to the polls on October 26.

Ms King said she had instructed Airservices Australia, the government agency responsible for air traffic, to implement changes to flight paths at Brisbane Airport by the end of November.
