Three decades ago, Anthony Albanese had one of his first political scares. Long before he was the prime minister, the Labor leadership hopeful faced a groundswell of support for the No Aircraft Noise party in his inner Sydney electorate of Grayndler.

Roy & HG launched the campaign, and No Aircraft Noise managed a 13 per cent swing. But it was not enough.
