Car-part shortages blow up insurance prices, delays

A car-parts shortage and skyrocketing rise in home-building materials prices are helping to lift premium increases above 10 per cent for some insurance policies.

RACQ, which wrote almost a billion dollars in premiums last year, said labour shortages in some pockets were also stretching repair times.
