Autobarn’s owner Bapcor spins its wheels with four CEOs in two years
Investment bank analysts are split on whether clients should be buying into the auto parts retailer and wholesaler. A new boss has his work cut out for him.
Simon EvansSenior reporterHow quickly can a company change management? That’s the question worrying some when it comes to Bapcor, the automotive parts retailer and wholesaler that last week switched bosses after just two years. Its chairwoman is also leaving; so too is the chief financial officer.
But the new boss has a strong pedigree in the sector. Paul Dumbrell – who will officially take the helm on May 1 of a company that runs 1100 outlets under brands such as Autobarn, Autopro and Burson – is a former V8 Supercars driver.
