NZ 'travel bubble' put on the backburner

The proposed Australia-New Zealand "travel bubble" has been pushed back until at least the end of the year amid concerns about the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the eastern states, especially Victoria.

While there has been talk about individual states cutting their own arrangements with New Zealand - which has had no COVID-19 cases for the past 100 days until 4 new cases were discovered on late on Tuesday - the preference of both the New Zealand and Australian governments is to stick to a national bubble.
