There were already problems with the Thunder River Rapids ride at Dreamworld on October 25, 2016, when the Goodchild, Dorsett and Low families arrived to experience one of the theme park's favourite rides.
The water pumps – which were crucial to ensure water levels on the Wild West-themed ride were kept safe – had already failed twice.
