Telstra chief executive Andy Penn – a long-time critic of the NBN Co’s pricing model – has praised new Communications Minister Michelle Rowland for her profound change to the government’s telecommunications policy.

“Michelle and the current government are thinking about telecommunications and the role it plays in the digital future of this country and NBN is an important part of that,” he said in an interview with The Australian Financial Review.
