Stalled NBN Co revenue per user threatens budget

NBN Co’s average residential revenue has stalled at $45 per user with just 24 months left for the state-owned entity to lift this to its target of $49 and avoid a potential write-down that may cut into the federal budget’s bottom line.

The company, which is in charge of the national broadband network, said its revenue jumped more than 20 per cent to $4.6 billion in the year ended June 30.
