Huawei lacks answers as 'tech cold war' heats up

Huawei has failed to answer key questions over whether its smartphones will continue to have full access to Google's operating system Android, despite issuing a statement reassuring customers that all existing and in-store devices will operate as normal.

Responding to reports that Google was preparing to restrict access to Android for Huawei devices, Huawei Australia said customers would "still receive security updates and be able to use Google apps". But when pressed on the future status of its relationship with Google the company was unable to give clear answers.
