NRL stars to make thousands under new global agreement

Rugby league’s most bankable stars such as James Tedesco, Nathan Cleary and Tamika Upton could add thousands of dollars to their annual income under a landmark deal that allows players to broker global commercial contracts alongside US football, baseball and basketball players.

The Rugby League Players Association, which represents the interests of NRL and NRLW players, has signed a commercial agreement with athlete representation firm OneTeam International, the global arm of OneTeam Partners.
