Team players Emma McKeon and Cate Campbell clocked world-beating solo performances by taking gold and bronze respectively in Friday’s women’s 100-metre freestyle final at the Tokyo Olympics.

Two-time Olympian McKeon, who won four team medals in Rio, two team medals and an individual bronze this week, took her first solo gold medal for an Olympic record 51.96-seconds race time.
